However, it is pretty with jets and a tree/cave decor. Altmuehlsee is according to me the most beautiful lake in the area. I visited it in winter so I can't say what is a service quality. The only downside is that the spa area is rather small for the number of guests the hotel can accomodate. We were lucky that the hotel was not fully booked when we were there. But even then we had sometimes trouble to find free loungers.

We had a nice two-room suite with a small kitchen. But place was clean and with windows open cool enough to sleep. Ate dinner at the restaurant -- traditional Franconian dishes, delicious. Spa is self-serve but costs; the pool doesn't cost extra but no towels.
